Has it really been 25 yrs? I sure don't FEEL 43!  I sure miss those days of pompettes, newspaper writing, musicals and marching band!   But lots has happened over those many years...I'm divorced yet have 2 great kids, and a terrific fiance, Jon.  My daughter Stacy is 22 and a cosmetologist who lives on her own now,  and Adam is 16 and a sophomore at Perry Meridian HS.  After HS graduation and 1 year at Ball State, I married and moved to Spain for a year (ex was in Air Force, Zaragoza Air Base), then Kokomo (Grissom AFB), then Lafayette. We moved to Indy in '78 and I've been here ever since.  I've gone to IUPUI and worked doing board drafting (Mr. Faultless would be proud! *L*) then moved on into CADD and became a CADD Mgr. and Environmental Technical Specialist.  After 22.5 years I changed careers.  I'm now a Technical Writer for Computer Task Group (CTG) and write technical training materials for Eli Lilly software.  I've always LOVED to write, so I suppose Mrs. Walls really made a lasting impression on me, too!  I also want to finish a couple of books I've started (my life's dream).   As for the kids, I've been everything from team mom to coaching Little League baseball, football, and practicing Nimpo Ti Jitsu and golf with my son!  Anyway, life really IS exciting and fun!  I was glad to see so many people at the 25-year reunion!  It was great seeing and talking "old times" again!  And it was a great honor and pleasure to be on the committee to help organize it and be webmaster for the Class of 1975.  I wish everyone well!  Please write!  :)

Certainly not 25 years! I've missed all the reunions due to my travel schedule, but I have a good chance of making this one. In case I don't, here's what I've been up to: Immmediately after graduating from IU with a B.S. in Geology, I was hired by United Catalysts Inc. in Louisville. Drilling projects in south and north Georgia, Nevada, Illinois and Arizona kept me busy for awhile. I then followed a path from Geologist to Quality Control Mgr to Plant Mgr and Technical Mgr at our plants in Louisville KY, Belen NM, Colton CA, Chatsworth GA and Hephzibah GA (near Augusta). I'm now on the SAP (software)implementation team for all of our US plants. Based in Louisville KY now, it's put me closer to my Dad and my brothers. When I'm not working, I'm in my darkroom - photography is a favorite hobby. I have also gone on mission trips with the United Methodist church to the Dominican Republic (twice); Roatan, Honduras; and planning a trip to North Carolina this summer to help with hurricane damage. I have two cats Frank and Stein (sisters), live in a 100 year old house and have wonderful neighbors who watch after them while I travel. I've been lucky to travel for business and pleasure including Germany, France,England, Norway, Finland and Russia. I got to sing with my Augusta, GA church choir at Westminster Abbey for a week, four years ago. Well, that's bee
me so far. Hope to see everyone in July.

Way cool to hear from you guys! I am married to Jerry Williams, have two kids Sam, 11.5 and Sadie 8.5. We just moved to Boise Idaho in June of '99...I am on the faculty at Boise State University in the Dept of Nursing. On the side I volunteer at the local homeless clinic doing psychiatric medication management. My husband works for the state doing emergency psychiatry. We spend our free time traveling, backpacking, river rafting, skiing. Sounds like this reunion is a good excuse for a ROAD TRIP!!!

Jackie Barge    jsalmon@mcak.com
Hello Classmates.  Here is an update of what I've done since Graduation in 1975.
I went to I.U. right after graduating for 4 years and became a high school math teacher.  However, after teaching for two years, I changed my mind and headed down the path of becoming a pension actuary adn working in corporate America.  I have been with the same employer, McCready and Keene, Inc. since 1985 and I am now an A.S.A (Associate of the Society of Actuaries).  I met my husband, Steve Salmon at I.U. in 1978.  We were married in 1986.  We have two sons born in 1992 and 1997 (almost 40 when the last one came!).  They keep us busy!  My husband is a strict vegetarian and does personal training and nutritional counseling.  I eat mainly vegetarian but I am not as strict as Steve. We have called Indy home since moving here in 1979.  My husband and I are very active in our Christian faith and place God first in our lives followed by family and work.  Note that I maintained my maiden name of Barge until our 15 Anniv. (2001) when I changed to Salmon.  (I'm slow to get the big!
picture!)  Thanks for reading this.  I'd love to hear from any classmates!

Elisa(Van Leeuwen) Duncan    Eduncan881@aol.com

Nancy Martin  nmartin@mccsc.edu
I have had alot happen in the past 25 years. In 1978 I married Greg Deckard. We divorced in 1991. I went to college at IU and played 2 seasons of basketball at IU while majoring in geology and education. Upon graduation I tried teaching, but with the baby boom over the erollments were droping in the high schools. I substitute taught in Bloomington while Greg finished his degree. Then I taught one year at Jasper High School where my tennis team was third in the state. After being cut due to enrollment drops, I decided to get an MBA.  I attended IU and recieved an MBA in MIS (management information systems) in 1984. Pillsbury hired me and we moved to Minneapolis MN to their corporate headquartes. After 5 years at Pillsbury, I tried consulting for a few years, then was hired by 3M in St. Paul. I was the project manager for their new accouts payable system. During this time I played USTA tennis as a 4.0 player in both doubles and singles. About 6 month after my divorce, USA Group in Indianapolis hired me and I moved to Indy! It was nice being back in Indiana. While in Indy I taught a few MBA courses at IUPUI to help out the business department. I decided I REALLY liked the teaching, so I reactivated my teaching license. School corporations did not believe I would leave a high paying job to "just teach high school". So, I returned to graduate school at IU to prove that money was not the reason I wanted to teach..ha ha ha. I was a TA in the school of Ed and taught a senior level system development course for the school of business. I took courses for fun (I already had 6 teaching endorsements) like Environmental Education, At-Risk Curriculum and Gifted and Talented. The Bloomington school corporation hired me as the gifted and talented coordinator for the school system. Unfortunatly I did not have a classroom, but I was in the corporation and on contract. I stayed in that position for 2 years. Then moved to Bloomington North as an Earth Science teacher (just what I've always wanted to teach!). My family says I have rocks in my head. It is kind of weird teaching at your old high school 20 years after you graduated. Some things change and some stay the same. Being a teacher has allowed me to travel. In the past two years I have been to the amason river basin in Peru and hiked the Inca trail to Mach Pichu. This summer I am going to Europe with high school students. Eventually I want to spend a summer in Austrailia. Hope to see you all at the reunion!

Jackie Lott  jjshot@netscape.net
Hello everyone, had a great time at the BHSN 20th. Am in my 10th year as basketball coach and professor at Antelope Valley College, 70 miles North East of Los Angeles. I discovered Hawaii during a basketball clinic last August so this summer i am going back to "Play" Have a terrific 25th!! Keep smiling!! My mom is retired in Arkansas, my brother Tom is the only sibling living still in Indiana. I was in Blgtn briefly this past September for my uncle babe's memorial.  Fondly, Jackie.

Eric Rumple ericr0283@aol.com
Sandy, Utah.  This is a great way to organize the reunion and keep the class informed. Thanks very much to all those that have contributed their efforts to these Web pages.

Hans-Ulrich Henningsen ra.henningsen@t-online.de
Hi everyone! Although it's quite a lot of time ago I still remember my exchange year in Bloomington & at BHSN with pleasure. You can find about my further career since '75 at http://home.t-online.de/home/ra.henningsen/llaufe.htm & if you want to write an e-mail I gladly look forward to receive it. I remember I was the first German exchange student at BHSN; maybe someone remembers my name. I do remember some of your names in the "comments" list. I'm afraid not to be able to come to the reunion since Bloomington is not just around the corner from here.   I have lots of memories of BHSN, and they're all good memories. I remember the teachers: Mrs. Jäger, Mr. Lair, Mr. Stucky, Mr. McIntosh and Mrs. Dowling. I remember the long ways on the school bus each day. I also remember the halls, the building, the prom. But what is the most memorable moment? It's probably the prom. It was a great party although my host mother was shocked about the fact that I wanted to go to the prom because of the expenses. We have three children. But they're just 7, 6 and 4 right now. May I introduce my wife Marita, my sons Haye and Hauke and my daughter Stefanie.  It sounds funny but I'm sitting in a train travelling from south to northern Germany while I'm writing this. Who would at the time of 1975 have thought Bill Gates connects us that close
together?

Tammie (Crandall) LeClerc tleclerc@bcsc.k12.in.us
I've been parenting Josh 15, Connor 7, Adam 4, married Dan 10 yrs., teaching Northside Middle School (in Columbus, IN), WOW 20 yrs., traveling, speaking to groups, sex ed, AD/HD, religion, (not in that order :-) , sunday school teaching.

Rick Womble  RCCWomble@AOL.com
Hello everyone! After High School, I received a BS in Management and a Finance degree at IU. I've worked for Roche Pharmaceuticals for the last 16 years in Indianapolis, currently the Sales Manager for Indiana, selling Hospital Laboratory equipment. I have been married to Cathy for 12 years and have one 10 year old son, Christopher, whom of course, is also a big IU fan. I'm sure everyone feels the same,--that the last 25 years have gone by at lightning speed. I still play baseball (summertime fun) and follow the Detroit Tigers (don't ask me why). I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the big 25 year reunion!!!

Allen McKinley  apmckinley@aol.com
After graduation I attended IU for 2 years before transferring to San Diego State University. After graduating in 1979, I returned to IU for 2 years to get my master's degree. I met my bride Paula Roseberry (Salem)in my 2nd year of graduate school. We took it slow and dated 3 months before we were engaged. The engagement was even slower (6 months). After the wedding we moved to Des Moines, IA. I have been the Budget Director for the City of Des Moines since 1985. We have 3 children (Katie-15, Nick-13, and Mallory-11)a dog Maddie (49 in dog years)and some fish. Our christian faith is the cornerstone of our lives. I love to camp, bike, play b-ball, golf, etc. I have to tell you all that although I am 42 and slowing down some, I enjoy playing b-ball at 6'2" now, rather than at 5'6" when I was in highschool. For those of you who knew my family, Mom and Dad still live in Bloomington but winter in FL, Lee is an internist in Bloomington, and Nancy is a nurse out in LA. Would love to hear from any of you. It is lonely being the only IU fan out in hawkeyeland.

Waz up with this 25 year reunion?!? It can't be that long ago!  I was cleaning out my shed last weekend and found my graduation tassle. It brought back so many memories. Then the mail came with the notice of the reunion. I missed the other reunions because I was out of the USA, but I'm coming to this one!  I can't wait to see everyone and just to let everyone know... ...no, I don't have my "afro" anymore! (:{>  I hope to see all on the 14th!

Tom Hoffa  tshoffa@earthlink.net
I'm living in Torrance, California, working for Pilkington Aerospace as an engineer designing aircraft windshields, canopies and optical components for flight simulator systems.   My wife Nancy, who I met while we were both geting our MBA's from USC, and I have a seven year old boy who seems to be learning to play basketball as quickly as I'm unlearning it. I catch the Lakers when I can. Since I left Indiana, there always seems to be a good basketball team to watch.  My job will take me to Bangalore, India later this year, which is just about as far as a person can get from Torrance. I'll get lots of frequent flier miles for that one.  I managed to struggle through a couple of marathons before my son was born, since then its been a different sort of marathon, but I love being a Dad.  Hope everyone is well!  Update (6/15/01): Married with one boy, nine years old now.  Working for Pilkington Aerospace as an engineer designing windshields and canopies for aircraft.

Bonnie (Smith) Barrow bonniebarrow@hotmail.com
Hi everyone! Take me off the "missing list", I'm back home again in Indiana. After moving 10 times throughout 5 states I don't expect anyone to know where I am, in fact, sometimes, I'm not even sure! Now for an update, I graduated from IU School of Business in 1979. In September, that same year, I married Dennis Barrow (BHSN'73-IU'77). We dated for 5 years beginning in my senior year of high school which explains my absence from the prom, as he had "already been there and done that". This year we celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. It has been pure bliss (except for the part about how I will never let him forget that he wouldn't take me to the prom)! Currently, we live in rural Zionsville. Our son, Michael, is 15 years old. Our daughter, Angela, is 12 years old. Dennis is chief financial officer for a company that manufactures automotive parts. I have a part time administrative position with ACMC (Advancing Churches in Mission Commitment). I am especially looking forward to our 25th year class reunion, as I haven't attended since the 5th. I'm sure I won't have and trouble recognizing any of you. I know I haven’t changed a bit! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Mike Kinser msqkinser@yahoo.com
I am in the United States Air Force (25 years last month) and am stationed at Langley AFB, VA. I am married and have one daughter who is married and lives in Bloomington. Shelley and I have one son who is 9 yrs old. Since I left Bloomington and joined the AF we've been stationed in Oklahoma (twice), Illinois, Germany (twice) and now Virginia. While we were in Germany we traveled to alot of countries and saw most of Europe. We truly enjoyed our stay in Germany and could have stayed much longer but my job brought us to Virginia. It' real nice...just a few hours from DC, and Virginia Beach is only about a 30 minute drive.  There is alot of history in this part of Virginia, so there is alot to do. Well better go just wanted to drop you a line and hope we'll be able to attend the reunion in July.

Joyce Thomas  Thomas@heraldt.com
Hello Everyone, I'm looking forward to our 25th reunion!! I've been working at the good 'ol Herald-Times for the past 24 years, it's hard to believe I've been here that long. I started in the mailroom and then moved upstairs where I've been a word processor for the past 20 years. I got married in 1980, but, unfortunately, it didn't work out and we divorced in 1984 and we didn't have any kids. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion in July.

Rachel Nugent rachel.nugent@fao.org

I have been living in Rome, Italy for three years. I am working for the United Nations doing work on hunger and agricultural policy in developing countries. Before coming to the Eternal City, I was an economics professor in Tacoma, WA and lived in a beautiful house built on pilings over Puget Sound with a view of the Olympic Mountains, with my Pekingnese dog, Maddie (#3 in a long line of pekingneses). So, I traded the mountains for the Colosseum. Not a bad thing for awhile. Anyway, I recently got married to Brian Baird, he is a congressman from Washington State -- formerly a psychology professor at the same university and that's how we met. Going backwards in time now, after high school graduation I went to the University of Wisconsin, got married, moved to Washington DC, did my PhD work in economics, and then went out west, did a bunch of jobs, got divorced and
then became a professor. That brings us up to now. Are you thoroughly confused? I wish I could be with you guys but I just returned from Vietnam and Berlin so I'm kind of grounded for a couple of weeks anyway. have a great time and best wishes to everybody! Ciao.

Elyce M. Meador  ElyceM@aol.com

After graduation I went to IU and Majored in Radio/TV. Went to work for WTTV-4 my Freshman year, and entered the ROTC program where I recieved a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Reserves along with Nick Lebano and Craig Medlyn. Joined up with the Indiana Army National Guard as an Artillery Officer, Worked for the 150th Field Artillery (Bloomington), the 152 Mech Infantry (Columbus) and 163rd Field Artillery in Evansville. They kept me busy thats why I never show at reunions. Dates never work out. Anyway, Worked for WTTV for 12 years until they drove it into the ground and I got the axe along with the " Cowboy' and "Sammy Terry". Landed in Jasper Indiana as a woodworker in a custom cabinet shop. Been there 11 years. Why not back to TV? Have you guys seen "Springer"? Not going to be part of that! Anywho; Married/divorced, remarried (never learn), with 5 kids?! William 18, Racheal 17, Andrea 14, Kristina 12, Phillip 6. whew! Sorry to miss this years reunion , but I retire from the Guard in Sept. and then I'm in your hair for ever!

Phillip Restle  restle2@bellatlantic.net
I went to Oberlin College OH, then got a Physics PhD at U of I at Champaign-Urbana IL.  I married Judith Mason  DVM, and got a job working at IBM's Research Center in NY.  We eventually decided to have two zero-population-growth perfect kids, Hannah 7 and David 9. I've done various physics and engineering type work, and now design microprocessor chips used by IBM and Apple. I was an introvert in H.S., so I have few friends from that era.  I did eventually became socialized by my wife, fortunately.  I still read the science fiction that got me through high school.  The biggest surprise is that I am now a decent public speaker.  At least about some microprocessor design issues, and now travel a bit giving technical talks at conferences and universities.

Kerry Harding  kbharding@aol.com
Graduated from Ball State with a degree in Architecture in 1982. First job was with the Indiana University Architects Office, turning the Little 500 stadium on the Bloomington campus into an Arboretum. Moved to Washington, DC to work for various firms on projects like the National Zoo, Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Korean War Memorial, ending up as vice president for The Hillier Group, the nation's third largest architectural firm and going to MBA school at night.  In 1998, I left to join Atlanta-based Greenway Consulting as a management consultant to architectural firms around the country and as managing editor of Design Intelligence, a monthly news journal on the future of the design professions.  On a personal note, I served in a variety of undergraduate and alumni positions with Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and just retired from a ten-year stint as volunteer editor for their national magazine.  I currently live in the Washington, DC suburb of Bethesda, Maryland with my wife, Dawn, a teacher at Washington Episcopal School, and four sons, David, 17, John, 15, Andrew, 12, and Michael, 9.  I now spend most of my free time attending my son's football, baseball, lacrosse and rowing events and in senior leadership positions with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Skip Chambers  skip@kiva.net
Hello everyone, I did not make the 25 year class reunion, and wish that I had been there.  I am a DJ and the reunion unfortunately came at the same time I had a wedding to do.  I am recently divorced and I have 4 very young and very wonderful children.  One boy and three girls, ages 9,7,6,4.  I am very impressed with the new website and enjoyed looking at the photos and reading the info on some of the classmates.  I also read the missing persons list and I know several of them and will try to send that information on in the future.

Jeff Davis davis_jeff@crane.navy.mil
I worked for 7 years in Indy after school as a CADD draftsman at Western Electric. They closed in 1984 and I have been here at Crane Naval Base ever since doing the same type of work until about 3 years ago, I needed a career change and got into Facilities Management down here. Last year I wrote on a few jobs out West, where I enjoy spending my free time. I was highly qualified as the Facilities Manager for Mount Rushmore National Park but didn't get the job, as it is hard to cross boundaries within government. I just found out I have an interview at Bent's Old fort for the same type of position in LaHunta, Co. Who knows! It seems like we spend much of life just trying to get ahead and the rest trying to find something we are still young enough to enjoy doing. I have two wonderful daughters from my previous marriage to Vicki Hash. Now both daughters are raised and both mothers. Shelly is a teacher in the Owen co. school system and Amanda is in nursing in Indy. I enjoyed all the pictures on this site (thanks Karen) and would like to get back with some OLD friends to visit. We must have had good teachers after all, as it seems many from our class have done well. Take care all and look forward to seeing you soon.

Nick Lebano nlebano@mindspring.com
Boy it has been a long time.  I signed up for Classmates.com a long time ago with an old email address.  By chance I checked that old address and there was an email regarding Bloomingtion High North. One thing lead to another and here I am.  After graduating from Bloomington North I went to I.U. and graduated with a BS in Computer Science.  I was also on an Army ROTC Scholarship so upon graduation I went into the Army.  I only intended to stay for 4 years but 21 years later I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.  While in the Army I got married to Laura while at Fort Gordon, GA.  We have been married for 20 years and have a 17 year old son.  We live in Tucson, AZ and I currently work as a Department of the Army civilian at Fort Huachuca, AZ (70 mile commute).  Sure am thankful for this site.  Good to be back in touch.

After leaving BHSN I went into the US Air Force.  I retired from there in 1993.  During that time I spent time in: Indiana, Canada, Alaska, Texas, Panama', Michigan, Korea, Oklahoma, Florida.  Went to Desert Storm while stationed in Oklahoma.  Looking over some of the comments here I see that I have been several places with classmates and didn't know it.  Wish I had just to talk about old times.  Been married a couple of times and have three children.  Melissa in Bloomington, and Richard and JanMichael still at home.  I now work for an airline here in Ohio and enjoy it very much.  If anyone would like to contact me please do so with BHSN75 in the subject block.  Don't like viruses and delete a lot of mail.  Lost one computer because of it.  Looking forward to anyone who wants to write.

Monta May mhulsing@smumn.edu
Since 1975 I have moved several times so it is not surprising that no one knew where I was.  I lived in Indiana until 1986 when I moved to Wisconsin.  The following year I moved back to Indiana for a few months and then out to Pennsylvania where I lived until 1993.  By then I had 5 kids--four girls and a boy--and we moved back to Indiana.  After 3 years I moved to western Wisconsin where I now live.  I live on a bluff above the Mississippi river where it is very beautiful.  I still have a motorcycle (a 1971 BMW R60/5) and I regularly ride it.  I work at a private university where I create web pages, multimedia presentations and teach technology to faculty and graduate students.  I am working on my second degree (1st was accounting) this time in graphic arts & multimedia.  Anyone who would like to email me is welcome.

Diana Bartlett-Hillenburg harley1brat@cs.com
